How do I get pricing on a material that I cannot find in the Data Base?
You can enter the description in the custom material field and add it to your material list. Then you will need to submit the list for pricing and let it go to Active Bidding. There the salespeople will see it and be able to price it manually.
Are these prices from real suppliers and are these prices current?
Yes, and yes!
Will I get a price back for every item I submit in my list?
You get multiple immediate prices returned for each salesperson who offers that product. Then the list is automatically sent to Active Bidding which will allow the salespeople to manually add or change the pricing for each item in your list.
How do I upload a takeoff that is already prepared?
When you have created a job you can go to edit your material list. There you will see a button titled 'Import'. When you click on this, you can browse your computer for your takeoff file. When it has imported the file, close the pop-up box. The file has to be a .csv file in the correct format (BBS product id, Quantity, Description).
I have multiple jobs with the same takeoff. Can I reuse a material list without entering it all over again?
Yes. On the material list edit screen there is a 'Copy' button. This will let you copy any previous material list from any of your jobs into this current list.
I have more information that would be useful for the salespeople in estimating my material list. Is there a way to contact them?
During Active Bidding you can 'Add Notes' to your list before you send it or during the Active Bid. All of the salespeople will see this and can respond.
